Our opals come from Hopkins Opal, a multi-generational family company dedicated to integrity and transparency. A true mine-to-market business, they mine, cut, and distribute their opals.
Hopkins Opal is a member of Lightning Ridge Miners Association and compliant with all Australian environmental conservation guidelines. These guidelines require the land to be restored to its original state after mining. They use underground mining techniques, instead of typical open cut mining, which causes erosion, sinkholes, and loss of biodiversity.
